Transforming logistics operations with data-driven decisions
Warehouses either overburdened or underused, docking delays disrupting schedules, and equipment failing without warning. Three questions worth answering before buying anything.

A logistics operation was carrying inefficiencies that showed up in space utilisation, operational flow and cost control at the same time. Some warehouses were overburdened while others sat underused. Delays at docking stations disrupted delivery schedules. Equipment failed without warning.
None of these are unusual. What made them expensive was that nobody could see them together.
The three questions
Warehouse utilisation. How effectively is storage space used across facilities? Is there an opportunity to consolidate? What do seasonal trends do to storage and inventory planning?
Docking and transport bottlenecks. What actually causes docking delays: is it cargo handling, route planning, driver availability, or mechanical failure? The answer determines whether the fix is scheduling or capital.
Equipment reliability. How often do critical assets need servicing? Which have the highest maintenance cost? Can predictive maintenance reduce unexpected failure enough to justify the instrumentation?
What a data-driven approach changes
Optimised warehouse management. Utilisation measured per facility and per period, so consolidation decisions rest on observed behaviour rather than intuition about which site feels full.
Real-time alerts for bottlenecks. Docking delays surfaced as they build, not reconstructed afterwards from delivery exceptions.
Predictive maintenance. Servicing driven by condition and usage rather than a fixed calendar, which is where most of the unplanned downtime goes.
The pattern is consistent across operations work: the constraint is rarely a missing capability. It is that the information arrives after the moment it would have been useful.
Recognise any of this in your own estate?
